"Soft Glow" adds a soft focus and glow effect to image/photo, which also happens to do a nice job of boosting the image's contrast and color saturation:

To apply effect:
Load Image/Photo,
Press the "Insert Effect" button and select Soft Glow effect from list,
Click on the effect and press "Edit Effect" button,
You'll see window, where you can set wished runner position,
Move the runner to the desired position, and use also preview function.
